A renewable energy System Design Package is available for $150 plus travel cost, which is subtracted from your system cost if you purchase it from Dovetail Solar. A System Design Package includes a site visit, a one-hour interview, a quote for the recommended system components, a labor estimate for installation, and a system diagram. Consultation, site analysis and technical services are available at $35 per hour.

Dovetail Solar can assist homeowner/producers in establishing a grid inter-tie system, where excess electricity produced at home can be sent out through the utility lines for credit on future electricity bills. A utility grid connection for your renewable energy system reduces or eliminates the use of batteries and generators. Larger producers can potentially sell electricity directly to a "green" energy company and negotiate a better contract. We will also help you access "green" electricity from the utility grid, as it becomes available.
